Tom Schwab talks about the basic principles involved in creating and belonging to a mastermind. The original intent of a mastermind was a group of like-minded people sharing ideas and resources, trusting in each other. Sometimes people get confused when they say, “I’m part of a mastermind led by this famous person, and we all come in and learn from them.” That’s group coaching, not a mastermind. A mastermind is a long-term commitment because the more you get to know people and trust in and understand them, the more value it brings. A mastermind is a relationship marathon, not a sprint. It’s not just a season or a trial but something you commit to on an on-going basis.
