“Creating the dream to possibility” with Steve Rodgers

Steve Rodgers says the first step in transforming your dream into a possibility is taking the vision that’s in your heart and head, and getting it down on paper. Then create a plan for how you’re going to make it happen. Steve says we should get into the habit of writing goals and business plans, and getting things on paper. There’s something almost “magical” that happens when we write things down. Dreams have a way of materializing, and people are more likely to buy into your vision when it’s clear and articulated on paper.

“Go Beyond Average” with Brian Fisher

If you want to be successful in business or life, you must move beyond average. Many people fall short because they do not have this mentality. Whether it’s career, relationships, or life, if you do not go beyond average you’re not going to achieve the highest level of success and happiness you possible for you.

“Pick a Lane” with Brian Fisher

Brian Fisher says focus is a difficult thing to master. When we multitask, we get sloppy and careless. So it is critical for our success to be disciplined and focus only on one thing. Put everything else (email, social media, etc.) on a shelf when you are working on that one thing. In life, when we fail to focus on what we are doing the effects might not be apparent or visible until the damage is done.

“Don’t Build on Sand” with Brian Fisher

Brian Fisher says it’s crucial to know your strong personal “why.” You must know why you want to be successful and why you want to be an entrepreneur because it serves as the foundation for everything you want to do in life. If you build a house on sand, it’s not going to weather the storm, but if you build your house on a solid foundation, you can put up with a lot of storms, critics and naysayers, and the challenges and adversities you’re going to face.

Professional organizer Marcia Ramsland talks about your individual “power hours,” or the time of day you work at peak capacity, focus, and productivity. Typically it’s one to two hours, and you have to know when they occur. Otherwise, you’ll be zigging and zagging and reacting all day. Determine a particular, intentional point that is a power time in your week.

Also, when is your best time where you’re most alert to talk to people? Plan meetings during these times when you’ll be most ready to interact with others. Then, and probably most importantly, what is your determined relationship time with your loved ones? It’s critical for success that we put an emphasis and guard those power hours in our lives while everything else funnels around it.

Professional organizer Marcia Ramsland talks about how the difference between average and excellence in our lives and careers is 15 Minutes at the beginning and end of our day. There is great power in how we start our day and end our day. If we just find 15 minutes a day to get organized and plan, usually at the beginning or at the end of the day, we’re going to work smarter and faster because we have been intentional about how we spend our time.

“Organize Your Digital World Now!” with Marcia Ramsland

Your digital space is your computer files, your email, and your online marketing presence. And for most of us, it’s probably as big of a problem, if not bigger, than the problem with our physical space. Many self-employed entrepreneurs are working out of coffee shops, so it’s not the physical space as much as it is all that junk on our computer. Digital clutter is just as bad as space clutter because it mentally slows your brain down, hurts your productivity, and can lead to costly mistakes.

“Your Workspace - A Distraction or a Productivity Boost?” with Marcia Ramsland

When the space around you is clear, your productivity jumps dramatically, and you’ll save time. It’s a beautiful transition when we can get our space, and our mind, organized. Productivity launches and you can move into new areas as you grow. It’s like a pyramid: the base is organization. But that’s never the goal; it’s only the tool, and it moves you up to progressively greater productivity. When you organize your space, it clears your mind and helps everything move faster. The faster the pace of your life the more organized you need to be.

“Why Motivation is Overrated” with Joanna Jast

Author Joanna Jast says motivation is overrated. Why? Because it’s fickle, it comes and goes. Some days we have tons of motivation, some days we don’t have any. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work like that. We all have commitment and deadlines, and we’ve got to get ourselves going, focus and get things done. That’s why we need to create systems that run on autopilot, so we don’t have to rely on unreliable motivation.

“The Greatest Enemy (and Ally) of Your Focus” with Joanna Jast

Author Joanna Jast says your environment is the biggest enemy and greatest ally of your focus. The physical environment includes things like the quality of your workstation, the level of ambient noise, and the technology that can unintentionally take control of our attention. All of these areas can be our biggest enemy, or they can become our greatest ally in keeping our focus if we learn to control them properly.

It has to be in your context and meaningful to you. Your strategy has to take into consideration who you are, what you do, your habits and tendencies, and what you like and don’t like, for it to be truly meaningful and productive.

“The Benefits of a Mastermind” with Tom Schwab

Tom Schwab talks about thebenefits of a mastermind. None of us know our blind spots. If weknew them, they wouldn’t be blind spots. Big businesses have aboard of directors but for small business and individuals, youdon’t have a group that can offer wisdom & accountability. That’s where a mastermind comes in. In a mastermind, you wantpeople to be honest with you, and as long as it’s said in love andrespect, you want those people to give their opinion. Clarity andpeace lay on the opposite side of a tough 10-minuteconversation.

“Masterminds 101” with Tom Schwab

Tom Schwab talks about the basic principles involved in creating and belonging to a mastermind. The original intent of a mastermind was a group of like-minded people sharing ideas and resources, trusting in each other. Sometimes people get confused when they say, “I’m part of a mastermind led by this famous person, and we all come in and learn from them.” That’s group coaching, not a mastermind. A mastermind is a long-term commitment because the more you get to know people and trust in and understand them, the more value it brings. A mastermind is a relationship marathon, not a sprint. It’s not just a season or a trial but something you commit to on an on-going basis.
